Naturopathic Doctor - Issaquah, WA

Looking for the best naturopathic doctor near me? Our’s are in a class of their own.

When it comes to the practice of medicine, each naturopathic doctor practices differently, each with his/her/their own unique clinical philosophy when it comes to patient care. Many naturopathic doctors rely almost exclusively on natural therapeutic approaches, whereas others have had only very limited training in newer disciplines, like functional medicine.  Each naturopathic doctor at Cascade Integrative Medicine in Issaquah has put dogma aside and embraces all treatment modalities from cutting edge diagnostics and targeted therapies to alternative and holistic medicine. Although our office is easily accessible to patients in the neighboring communities of  Issaquah, Sammamish, Renton, Bellevue, Maple Valley and North Bend, we offer telemedicine services that allow us to provide naturopathic care to patients in Spokane, Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, and their surrounding areas.

Experience individualized naturopathic care

The naturopathic doctors in Issaquah at Cascade Integrative Medicine share a core principle: meet patients where they are.  While our primary goal is to diagnose and treat what ails you, we also understand that different patients have different needs and goals when it comes to their health care.  For example, some patients are ready to dive in aggressively to address what’s making them sick, whereas others would rather begin with a milder approach and gradually move toward more aggressive therapies later, if needed.  When you see a naturopath at our clinic, you can rest assured that we’ll provide you with treatment options that are personalized and sensitive to your individual needs.

Healing begins with being heard

One of the first things you’ll notice during your visit with a naturopathic doctor at our practice is that we listen very carefully.  We listen because we want to know you: who you are, what your family is like, what causes you stress and brings you joy.  We do this because we care, and we want to support you on your trek back to good health.  Our naturopaths are also listening attentively for clues that may shed light on your health condition, which could be, for example, an environmental exposure, or a bout of food poising during a trip abroad, or a genetic risk factor based on your family history. Ultimately, it’s because we get to know you as a person that we are able to advise you and advocate for you and to formulate a treatment plan that you feel good about.  Experience has taught us that this type of doctor-patient relationship gives rise to the most successful and lasting patient outcomes.

About naturopathic doctors

The physicians that practice naturopathy are known as naturopathic doctors (NDs).  Naturopathic doctors must successfully complete a four-year curriculum in an accredited naturopathic medical school.  Naturopathic physicians receive the same training in the basic sciences as conventional medical doctors (MDs), but also receive training in clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, physical medicine, homeopathy, counseling, and psychology. As with medical doctors, naturopathic doctors must successfully complete a rigorous board examination (NPLEX) in order to obtain state licensure and the legal right to practice naturopathic medicine in Washington state. During the final two years of training, naturopathic students must complete internships in hospital or out-patient clinics under the direct supervision of licensed professionals. The naturopathic doctors at Cascade Integrative Medicine obtained their doctorate degrees in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University, which was listed as one of America’s best medical schools by The Princeton Review.

Exceptional patient care begins with exceptional support

At Cascade Integrative Medicine, our mantra is “patient care always comes first”. Our staff doesn’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk. We understand that everyone has their own story and their own experience, and our job is to be a soft and safe landing spot when our patients’ day gets difficult. Regardless of how your day is going, and whether you are checking in for your appointment, having your vitals taken, or discussing a bill, we promise you a warm smile, a gentle touch, and a compassionate heart.

We also understand that what happens behind the scenes is a critical piece of your healthcare experience at our clinic. When you are not looking, we are circling back, following up, and closing loops to ensure your care is coordinated, your prescriptions are filled, and your claims are filed correctly.
