Practice Manager

Full-time, $65-80k/yr

Overview

Cascade Integrative Medicine is located in Issaquah, WA and is one of the largest functional medicine practices in the Pacific Northwest. We are a provider-led organization staffed with astute, compassionate physicians that leverage both conventional and complementary therapies to provide exceptional personalized treatments for both acute and chronic health conditions.

Central to our corporate philosophy is exceptional patient care, from the very first patient interaction and throughout the entire patient care experience. We are actively seeking a practice manager to oversee business operations and provide part-time support to the front office. The practice manager will report directly to the practice owners and will coordinate the activities of the front office, back office, and providers to ensure that business activities are optimized for efficiency and remain in compliance state and federal regulations. The practice manager will also demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, will be accessible and approachable to staff, and will be a role model for exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain a warm, welcoming office environment that balances excellent patient care and extraordinary customer service.
  • Oversee and supervise front and back office staff.
  • Evaluate and review office policies and procedures and identify ways to improve operational efficiency with the goals of enhancing patient experience and increasing practice profitability.
  • Manage the ordering of general office supplies and equipment.
  • Recruitment, retention, and termination of non-provider staff.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve employee issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations. Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and Labor and Industry compliance.
  • Perform other duties or strategic plans as assigned by ownership to support business operations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of proven medical practice management. Experience reporting to, and supporting, executives and professionals
  • Highly organized, a strong multitasker, and can execute projects according to defined timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and an excellent communicator able to resolve difficult patient or staff issues.
  • Attention to detail in drafting and designing corporate documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Inspirational and motivational to front and back-office staff.
  • High level of professional integrity, honesty, and ethics.

Naturopathic Physician

Full-time, $80-120k/yr

Overview

Cascade Integrative Medicine is looking for a seasoned naturopathic doctor to take on a busy schedule of patients with an emphasis on women’s health and gastrointestinal disorders, especially SIBO.

Cascade Integrative Medicine is a truly integrative medical practice on Seattle’s Eastside. We occupy a newly renovated, 5,700 sq ft clinic in a medical building in Issaquah with phlebotomy in-house. Our providers span a range of specialties including naturopathic doctors, certified clinical nutritionists, counselors, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and a massage therapist. Cascade Integrative Medicine owns the Center for SIBO Testing, which prospective naturopathic doctors would have direct access to.

Our emphasis, first and foremost, is on patient care; we provide longer (and fewer) patient visits and offer the best, evidence-based treatment options available by leveraging both conventional and complementary medicine modalities.

Resident Naturopathic Physician

Full-time, $55,000/yr

Cascade Integrative Medicine is proud to be an affiliate site for CNME (Council of Naturopathic Medical Education)-accredited naturopathic residencies. Cascade Integrative Medicine is the only truly integrative medical practice on Seattle’s Eastside. Our clinic is a newly renovated, 5,700 sq ft space that includes 17 exam rooms, two conference rooms, two lab areas, a break room, a chart room, and both internal and external waiting areas. Our providers include medical (MDs) and naturopathic doctors (NDs), certified clinical nutritionists, and in collaboration with Thrive Integrative Health, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and chiropractors. Our emphasis, first and foremost, is on patient care; we provide longer (and fewer) patient visits and offer the best, evidence-based treatment options available by leveraging both conventional and complementary medicine modalities.

Cascade Integrative Medicine provides training, in association and cooperation with its affiliated participating institutions, in post-graduate medical education programs that meet the standards established by CNME.

At the conclusion of the residency, residents will:

  • be proficient in collecting clinical data through patient interview, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
  • be proficient in utilizing clinical data to prioritize problems and formulate differential diagnoses.
  • be proficient in the formulation of diagnostic and therapeutic treatment plans demonstrating awareness of risks, benefits, costs, patient preferences, taking into consideration ethical and psychosocial aspects.
  • have observed excellent communication skills to use with patients, families and other members of the health care team, demonstrating respect, compassion and integrity.
  • demonstrate a commitment to ethical principles and to their professional responsibilities.
  • embrace the philosophy and practice of lifelong learning to maintain a broad knowledge base. They will keep abreast of the pertinent current literature and be able to translate this to effective clinical practice. Residents will be proficient in the search and critical evaluation of the medical literature to answer clinical questions.

Responsibilities

Medical Assistant

Cascade Integrative Medicine is a truly integrative medical practice on Seattle’s Eastside. We occupy a newly renovated, 5,700 sq ft clinic in a medical building in Issaquah with phlebotomy by Quest Diagnostics in-house. We have eight naturopathic doctors on staff who emphasize primary care as well as integrative and functional medicine in their individual practices.

Our emphasis, first and foremost, is on patient care; we provide longer (and fewer) patient visits and offer the best, evidence-based treatment options available by leveraging both conventional and complementary medicine modalities.

There is no top-down approach to patient care at our clinic. Instead, all providers and staff are regarded as equals and colleagues. Here, everyone has a voice, is always treated with respect, and is valued and sought after for their own unique insights.

We are looking for a warm, savvy medical assistant who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and who is a quick study and a strong problem-solver.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing patients for examination
  • Assisting providers with exams, when applicable
  • Preparing and administering medications as directed
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Performing laboratory tests
  • Performing electrocardiograms
  • Removing sutures and changing dressings
  • Explaining treatment protocols to patients
  • Explaining medications and special diets
  • Authorizing prescription refills as directed
  • Greeting patients, answering phones, managing medical records

Qualifications

  • Medical assistant certification from accredited program
  • High school diploma
  • At least one year of experience in medical office; primary care experience is preferred
