BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Marit Zimmerman was born and raised in the Greater Seattle area and graduated from Bastyr University’s School of Naturopathic Medicine. She is trained as a primary care physician with an emphasis in dermatology, minor surgical procedures, physical medicine, IV therapy, ozone therapy and craniosacral therapy. She has experience working in various clinical settings including in a rural clinic in Nicaragua, a hospital in Nepal, a small country clinic in Maine, private practices locally, as well as volunteering with a non-profit serving Seattle’s underserved populations.
Through her most recent clinical training, she worked with a patient population that had a variety of complex chronic health issues including lyme and its co-infections, viruses, mold and toxin exposures, and GI problems. Dr. Zimmerman is also skilled in a number of injection techniques such as neural therapy, ozone therapy, and trigger point therapy.
Dr. Zimmerman is very excited to be a part of the team at Cascade Integrative Medicine where she has the opportunity to work alongside a great team of doctors with an array of modalities.
When she is not in the office, you can find her tending to her organic garden, rowing on Lake Washington, biking, hiking or snowshoeing through the hills of the Pacific Northwest with her golden retriever, or diving the depths of the ocean.
