Dr. Cristina Covert, MD
Dr. Cristina Covert is board certified in family medicine and has been practicing in the Seattle area for the last 12 years. She completed her family medicine training at Carilion Health System in Roanoke, VA and moved to the beautiful PNW in 2006. Recently, Cristina has completed the two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona founded by Dr. Andrew Weil. She believes in the importance of partnering with her patients in their health care and enjoys the diversity of family medicine from the care of newborns and pediatrics to adults and elder care. Building long-term relationships with patients and families is what makes family medicine unique and rewarding.
Dr. Covert also practices integrative medicine to merge the use of conventional treatments with complementary modalities to benefit patients. As an avid practitioner and teacher of yoga, she believes in the foundation of movement/exercise, healthy nutrition, and stress management to prevent disease and support overall well-being. She believes the most effective approach to health care and treatment is through collaboration with an integrative team to optimize an individual’s health. When she is not practicing medicine, Cristina can be found cooking new recipes in the kitchen, hiking in our beautiful outdoors, or traveling to explore new parts of the world with friends and family.
