Cristina Covert, medical doctor at Cascade Integrative Medicine

Cristina Covert, MD

Dr. Cristina Covert is board certified in family medicine and has been practicing in the Seattle area for the last 12 years. She completed her family medicine training at Carilion Health System in Roanoke, VA and moved to the beautiful PNW in 2006. Recently, Cristina completed the two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona founded by Dr. Andrew Weil. She believes in the importance of partnering with her patients in their health care and enjoys the diversity that family medicine provides from newborn care and pediatrics to adults and elderly care. Building long-term relationships with patients and families is what makes family medicine unique and rewarding for her.

Dr. Covert also practices integrative medicine, merging the use of conventional treatments with complementary modalities to benefit patients. As an avid practitioner and teacher of yoga, she believes in the foundation of movement/exercise, healthy nutrition, and stress management to prevent disease and to support overall well-being. She believes the most effective approach to health care and treatment is through collaboration with an integrative team to optimize an individual’s health. When she is not practicing medicine, Cristina can be found cooking new recipes in the kitchen, hiking in our beautiful PNW, or traveling to explore new parts of the world with friends and family.
